January

Energy Festival
Taking place in the city’s amphitheater this festival gathers the people who love Ituzaingó and Argentina. There are typical dances, folklore live music and a beauty contest called “The Energy Queen”.

February

Carnivals are one of the most beautiful shows that Ituzaingó has to offer. The "comparsas" (different groups of dancing people) and shows are colorful and cheerful spreading joy all around. Carnivals start at the ending of January and continues during the first days of February. Thera are four typical "comparsas": ISUNÚ, ITU-PORÁ, AUTÉNTICOS Y SAMBOYERÉ. Each of them gathers more than 200 people. Each “comparsa” has little different group of shows: little children, musicians, dancers, beautiful ladies, singers and special decorated carriages. The costumes are handmade and this “comparsas” practice and work all the year to make this show a special festival in Argentina.

June

San Juan's Festival
This religious festival is on the 24th of June and it gathers all the people who believe in San Juan Bautista. They organize a fair where you can find native products and food, music and dance and the typical “cruce de brazas” (hot coal crossing). It is a beautiful festival to enjoy with family and friends.

July

Fishing contest: The Surubí fishing boat contest 
This is one of the most important fishing contests in Ituzaingó. Every July fishers from all Argentina comes to participate and enjoy this contest. The Surubí is a big and beautiful fish, commonly find around this region.
This contest gathers more than 900 fishing men. At the same time this contest is taking place the Expo Ituzaingó organizes an exhibition for the people to show and export their products to the MERCOSUR.

September

The cattle festival
This is a festival to celebrate Guacho traditions. The cattle are marked traditionally since the Gauchos time, on. There are other traditional activities, too: Taming horses, sheep and there are different games to enjoy with all the family.

November

Motorbike’s meeting
During November, motor bikers around the world and Argentina meet in this special place to share their passion for the motorbikes. There are hundred of different styles of motos: old ones, new ones, antique motorbikes and handmade motorbikes.
It’s a friendly and joyful meeting. Singers, guitars and different instruments decorate the beautiful Ituzaingo’s landscape.
